Description
Chartering a yacht in Tenerife makes the most of the Canary Islands year round sunshine. Temperatures between the seasons vary only some 6ºC, the monthly average temperatures are from 18º to 24º C. Ideal bathing conditions are available throughout the year. Due to the islands geographical location, some 4º from the tropic of cancer and very close to the African coast, the islands' climate is subtropical. The surprising landscape, with high mountains covered by snow very close to the beaches, is an additional attraction. Water temperature varies from 22º C in summer to 19º C in winter.
We run charters from Friday to Friday to take into account the large number of flights to Tenerife South airport on this day.
Since the arrival of our new 2007 model yachts (a Hanse 400e, Bavaria 42 and a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i) Clubsail has spilt its yachts into two groups: Classic and Club Class.
Classic Charter: The Classic yachts include our Bavaria 36 and our Dufour 35. The Bavaria 36 and Dufour 35 both sleep 8 and have three double cabins and space for two persons in the saloon.
Our well equipped yachts comply with both RYA and Spanish safety standards.
We offer a comprehensive price including:
- Transfers from and to Tenerife South airport – no additional costs or waiting around for a taxi;
- Bedding and towels – no need to bring your own;
- Light weight waterproofs – just in case;
- British style lifejackets;
- Fully fitted to RYA approved Training Centre standards;
- Up-to-date maps, charts and pilot books;
- Welcome pack – a bottle of wine, some olives, loaf of bread, tea, coffee, sugar, some milk and butter.
- Gas;
- ¼ tank Diesel oil – enough for a normal week;
- Dingy and outboard;
- Cleaning prior to and after your charter – so no hidden costs.
We do not include: flights or travel insurance.
Club Class: A lot of our clients have asked for more space and better equipped yachts hence the new Club Class – which includes our brand new Hanse 400e and Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i, and our Bavaria 42. All our Club Class boats have 3 double cabins - but as you would expect from a luxury 40’ yacht they have much more space in both the saloon and cabins.
The Hanse has colour television in the saloon and DVD player, microwave and cockpit cushions. She certainly deserves the accolade of European yacht of the year 2006! See www.hanseyachts.com for more details.
Featured in May’s Sailing Today the Sun Odyssey was described as “grace, space and pace”, “this 39’ from Jeanneau is as easy to handle as a 30-footer, but with the accommodation of a 45-footer” with “luxurious and spacious accommodation”.
Also available in Club Class is our 2007 Bavaria 42. She is slightly larger than our other Club Class boats – with the extra space allowing a second head in the forepeak, ideal for families wanting a cost effective larger boat.

All our boats are commercially registered in Spain and meet both Spanish, and the RYA’s safety standards.
As it is our 21st birthday on 1st October we are running a number of special offers. This means the price for a bareboat charter for one of our Classic Charters is now only 1200 GBP (approx E1700) for the Dufour 35, and £1300 (approx E1800) for the Bavaria 36; and for our new Club Class yachts the cost is only 1700 GBP (approx E2400).
