Hi, as you may have already read I row to work in the mornings but yesterday morning stormy weather stopped me from going to work! Good job I work for myself! White horses and rain made it difficult for me to row with my laptop to the Wifi Cafe so had to stay with the boat and make sure that she did not come away from her mooring. I checked that all lines were secure and that the engine would be ok to fire up in an emergency and I prepared all warps and fenders just in case I had to go into a marina. Then I kept watch. I did some jobs whilst I sat in my bucking boat - mainly sewing! Boring!! Then I was hungry and went to my fridge to see what I could eat but all I could find was sausages, beer and an octopus! The octopus needs tenderising first before eating (the recommended method is to bash octopus against rocks!)so I ate the sausages - well some of them - my cat decided that she would like some spicy sausages too!! The beer looked tempting but I knew that if something went wrong I would need to be alert so settled down with a cup of coffee and a book, the cat laid on my lap and went to sleep as I watched the lows coming in over the land and towards my boat! One good thing tho' my wind charger was screaming so lots of charging for my batteries!
