I raced my business partner to work again in our dinghys. I nearly won but my business partner took a shortcut across a marina and picked up his dinghy and threw it over the main pontoon - I went around the marina! The Guardia Civil watched me row furiously past their big motor boat with astonishment - Spanish women do not tend to sail single handed or row their own boats I have been told by the Spanish Customs guys, they think I am very unusual!
I still nearly caught up with my business partner - I grabbed hold of the back of his dinghy before he could tie up and win and he was laughing so much he couldn't grab hold of our designated winning post! He managed to slap his hand on the pontoon where we tie up and won, but he thinks he may have to think of a very cunning plan to beat me tomorrow!
We had a very relaxing day yesterday - some friends that I have made in Spain tied up their trimaran onto my multihull on my mooring and we had a few beers! Then later we made friends with some very nice Swedish people! Much more interesting than watching TV!! Our new Swedish people told us how they had bumped into a sleeping whale whilst sailing! I told them how two whales followed me for a couple of days when I was crossing the Bay of Biscay - I had to drift for a couple of days because of lack of wind and I think the whales thought my boat was a stricken whale - they kept an eye on my boat until I approached la coruna!
